As I have mentioned recently I have been looking into SOA (Service Orientated Architecture). In doing so my main gurus have been Sean McGrath (in particular for his work with Ireland's Public Services Broker (PSB) see the reach website) and Tim Bray.
So I have been thinking about a MOM (Message oriented Middleware) and trying to find a free implementation with support for Python and an XML document model for the messages.
At present the front runner seems to be xmlBlaster which is LPGL licensed, written in Java with Java and Python clients as well as others. It is also being actively developed so looks quite promising.
Any comments on other options or reactions to xmlBlaster are very welcome.
