Well seeing how things are going in recent days I am changing a few things.
I have increased the number of items on the front page as things seem to have been disappearing rather too quickly. Mind you I will learn a lesson from the football entries and would not do that as so many separate posts in the future (probably would not blog football anyway as it might give the impression I am a big fan whereas I only ever watch the major international events).
I have started to use trackbacks to the The Internet Topic Exchange a bit, not sure yet how useful that is.
I can also see I need to be a bit more sophisticated in my layout of entries, particularly if I am going to use code. Maybe I will move to using extracts and detailed pages, but it seems something of a hassle to write and to use. I have continued to tinker with the right side bar, nothing very exciting.
I have been wondering about the wide range of types of post I do and whether a single blog or separate more focused blogs would be better. For the moment I am planning to stick with one but might subdivide the categories a bit more. Re-organising the blogroll to match categories might be an idea (but really I would like to see a tree of categories for that to work well). Unfortunately the quickpost bookmarklet from Typepad does not support setting multiple categories so that means a save and then edit for each multi-category entry.
PS pity about the typo in the title, which I have corrected but will now live for ever in the url. Please don't tell anyone what a bad typist I am ;-)
