Thanks to LWN: python-dev Summary I found that the python-dev Summary for 2004-08-16 through 2004-08-31 referred to
Skipped Threads.
Warnocked (i.e., emails that get essentially no response) emails very insignificant threads are not listed
I only recently came accross the idea of being Warnocked, so given that I am an insignificant Warnock decided to look it up. More normally the idea is called "Warnock's dilema". There is a good introduction in Notes from Classy's Kitchen: New grassroots campaign on classy.dk - promises to stamp out Warnock's Dilemma for those wanting historical accuracy then at nntp.perl.org - perl.perl6.language (15407) you will find a full history from Bryan Warnock who invented the concept. The original message from which the term Warnock's Dilema was invented is at nntp.perl.org - perl.bootstrap (1127).
There is another neat summary at Warnock's Dilemma | Mr rlygsson (July 20. 2003).
It is so nice to know that I am not the only Warnock to whom this happens.

When I saw that you were a minister I just laughed, but not for the reason that first comes to your mind...believe me :P
My maiden name is Warnock and I come from a family of preachers and you happen to be the second person I came across on the net just now that had a blog AND was a minister of God...I guess that means Warnocks have great faith :P
I just learned the definition of being warnocked before finding your blog so I thought it was only fitting to post so your warnocked posting wasn't warnocked by a warnock...hahaha.
...I really hope you believe all this cause I couldn't be more honest if I tried :P
