    The outpouring of assistance by the world has not gone unnoticed.

    Practically speaking, as a very wealthy country, it would be unseemly of us to indulge in taking large financial gifts.

    Boots on the ground would be the most appreciated -- such as a visit by the Royal Navy in the case of your nation.

    In fact, a few days ago, I would say that a visit by any friendly military force with bayonets unsheathed would have been welcome.
