James Tauber : Python Web Frameworks and REST updates on progress and surveys the scene. One option he does not mention yet is RhubarbTart which runs on top of python paste with an API somewhat like CherryPy.
Julian is planning a REST controller for RhubarbTart which might make it a good fit for Demokritos.

Interestingly, I've been working on an integration of CherryPy into demokritos for a coupld of weeks.
Christian Wyglendowski has also started to make leonardo a WSGI application :)
