While I don't code in Java at present there is lots happening at the moment.
Three keys things that I think are good:
- New Java Licensing makes it easier to include in Linux distributions see this at LWN for license details (subscriber only for a while)
- Looks like more hope for Java becoming open source (which I believe is important for its long term future)
- Sun and Ubuntu are now good friends. That is good news if like me you run Ubuntu on a Sun hardware with Sun Ray terminals.
