    Fascinating stuff, Dave -- but you're a bit more technically adept than most of us. I'd be interested in a simpleton's guide to security.

    Richard, I was thinking of doing that.

    Been horrified again by the insecurity of a Windows install - it had to download 320mb of updates in the first of several update cycles. That was before I got to install the antivirus/firewall software.

    The default settings on the broadband router from TalkTalk are also hopeless for security :-(
