Lectio Divina

Two greats posts from conXian.

First Lectio Divina then Praying With Scripture Reflection. The comments are worth reading to. I first cam across this as part of exploring Ignatian Spirtuality at the Guy Chester Centre (in fact I am in the top right picture, 7th from the left ;-)

I found the books by Margaret Silf ("Landmarks" and "Taste and See") excellent, although Gerard Hughes "God of Surprises" is a classic introduction.

Learning this way of approaching scripture was a revelation for me and one I often return to. I agree with the comments that this is for self or as a process for groups rather than to fill sermons.
