Tomorrow (Sunday April 30th) at noon we in Raunds start 24×7 prayer.
This is being supported by all the Churches in Raunds.
We have just finished preparing a prayer room at our Methodist Church which will be used for this week of continuous prayer. It forms part of the Nene Valley Circuit, of the Oxford and Leicester Districts response to the Methodist Pray Without Ceasing Year.
A team of 7 have been busy for hours today continuing the room preparation already started. I have to say I am impressed by how the room looks. We have a variety of zones including:
- Bible Base
- Reflection Room
- Local Knowledge
- Campaign Corner
- World Vision
- Desert Experience
- Food 4 Thought
- Media Zone (TV’s with DVD’s and Videos, plus CD’s and Cassettes)
There are also activities such as painting and clay modelling. We have a large wall papered ready for prayer requests and answers, scripture resources etc. We even have a water feature.
I am just finishing our "24×7 HowTo" document and typing up the rota which already is looking pretty solid. I will be camping out at Church for the next week so expect not a lot on here except snores (unless I find a modem and start blogging from the prayer room).
I am very much looking forward to this and while I am already excited by what God has been and is doing here I am sure there is lots more to come.
If you are down Raunds way then please drop in, we would be glad to see you, everyone is especially welcome each day at 10am and 8pm when we will have an informal prayer service to praise God, share what has been happening and offer each other support and encouragement.
